Extek Model 2000 16/35mm Silver Roll Film Duplicator

The Model 2000 has been designed as a low-cost, portable silver roll film duplicator for use in an open office environment. High quality silver duplicates are produced from both positive and negative 16 and 35mm roll film. After duplication by the Model 2000, copy films are processed through a microfilm processor, using conventional microfilm chemistry.

  • An archival-quality silver duplicator for low and medium-volume users.
  • Designed to meet strict budget requirements. Low maintenance and high quality standards
  • Small size and light weight allow high degree of portability
  • Portable table top unit suitable for daylight operation
  • Copies from 16 and/or 35 mm silver and diazo master roll films
  • Removable copy film cassette holds 1000 ft. of normal copy film and 2000 ft. of thing base copy film.

Film Drive
The film drive is designed so as to eliminate any drive roller contact with the film emulsion surfaces, thereby reducing the risk of scratching and damaging the films. Precise film tracking is ensured through use of individual 16mm and 35mm exposure rollers, which have the added benefit of ensuring proper resolution.

Transport Mechanisms
The clutch and drive mechanisms have been completely redesigned from the original, giving significant improvements to reliability and image quality. New clutches allow easy maintenance. The new “ladder” drive belt provides positive transport to both the original and copy films. No more constant adjustment of clutches!

Exposure Settings
The Model 2000 duplicates at a constant rate of 33 feet (10m) per minute. The required exposure is set precisely and easily by adjusting the exposure lamp intensity dial.
