The Millennium DS Image scanners provide versatile high speed, high quality document scanning in a small foot-print desktop page scanner. These workhorse document scanners offer an unmatched combination of price and performance. The addition of a high speed USB port now allows you connect Millennium scanners to a PC without any interface card. You can still connect via SCSI-2 if desired without any loss in scanning speeds. Both interfaces are standard with all Millennium DS Series scanners. The Millennium DS scanners are the ideal scanners for high volume processing with speeds up to 90 pages / 180 images per minute. The Millennium DS scanners are based on the proven rugged architecture of the other VisionShape High Speed document scanners. They feature a jam-resistant straight-through paper path that ensures reliable scanning. Easy access to the entire mechanism for maintenance is available through a front door panel. In addition to the new camera, the Millennium series include an integrated autofeeder, 200-400 dpi resolution, can handle up to 12 inch wide documents, a simple LCD control panel, and infrared based double feed detection. A 3 year warranty is also standard and on-site service is available nationwide. The new DS Series Image scanners incorporate a completely redesigned camera using components available in very high-end production document scanners several times more expensive than these models. A key feature is our VisionACE II image enhancement technology which removes unwanted backgrounds even on multi colored documents, and can resolve data that is virtually invisible to the naked eye. Perfect for OCR, forms processing and other work that requires high quality imaging. Millennium document scanners will soon be available with the new NoReScan module with eliminates the need to rescan poorly contrasted documents. NoReScan automatically detects poorly contrasted images and corrects it by selecting the best image for OCR, archival or both. |
