Batch Processing and Control:In a production scanning environment, batch and quality control are essential ingredients of a successful operation. The AutoScan 32 software for high speed scanners offers several quality and production control features such as detection of batch cards, dynamic allocation of output directories, as well as deletion and insertion of complete batches or single images. A key feature of this scanning software is batch orientation and control. Each page belongs to a batch, which can be defined either from the keyboard or automatically through a user inserted batch control card. Each image in the batch has a different sequential number. Using the AutoScan 32 software, a user can quickly and easily set up scanner parameters, select file format and choose the location of images on local or network drives. It provides quality control functions for the scanner such as image display at scan time or later as a separate process. Pages can be added, deleted, inserted and resequenced. Any page in the batch can be viewed at different scales and rotated at 90, 180 or 270 degree angles. Images can be scaled and scrolled for viewing purposes. At scanning time, users can view each image and then decide whether to save the image or discard it. AutoScan 32 supports the major document imaging high speed scanners using Kofax 7300/9250/9275, Adrenaline 850 or 1700 co-processors and Xionics IP10 Interface cards and native mode, such as VisionShape, Fujitsu, Bell & Howell, Panasonic, Ricoh in "simplex or "duplex" mode. AutoScan 32 supports also all scanners that are supported by ISIS drivers and Twain drivers. AutoScan 32 also supports the Buic 1000, Buic 1500 and CS-500 check scanners. Images can be saved in different compression formats, including CCITT Group3 and Group4 TIFF. |
