BarcodesAutoScan 32/Capture supports the following type of barcode symbology: Codabar, Code3of9, Code 128, Code 2 of 5 UPC, EAN, Postnet. The program supports automatic location detection in horizontal and vertical mode. Users can instead choose to manually enter barcode parameters if desired . AutoScan Capture uses AutoSearch barcode to index images. The data string resulting from the barcode is placed in an ASCII comma delimited file containing image location and barcode value. AutoScan 32 will read most barcode symbologies and multiple barcode per page. AutoScan 32/Capture also supports ImageControls functions using Kofax Adrenaline or KF 9250/75 boards. Now with 2D PDF 417 Barcode recognition Zone OCR for automatic indexing and data entry with a choice of three OCR engines. Unlike other document capture software, AutoScan Capture offers several OCR engine options. For laser and computer generated documents, AutoScan uses the best multi-language Omnifont OCR engine on the market: FineReader. But for applications that require reading special fonts like OCR-A or E13B (as used in MICR applications) AutoScan has two dedicated single fonts engines for this purpose. In addition, for applications of reading difficult fonts, VisionShape also offers an OCR training option. Like with the barcode engine, the data read is stored in a flat file, comma delimited format that can be easily entered into a data base or a data entry program. A powerful OMR for bubble marks and check marks capture Interpretation of Check-Marks, bubble marks and X's is easy with AutoScan Capture. AutoScan offers a range of mark-reading capabilities from the single check mark to the row and column marks. The software analyzes the marks and a Yes or No value is returned to the data record for the field defined. |
