AutoScan 32

VisionShape's AutoScan 32 is a sophisticated batch scanning and capture control front-end software designed for volume applications and high speed scanners using Kofax in native mode and SCSI Interface cards using ISIS or Twain drivers. It features single or multi-page TIFF batch scanning, visual quality control, scanner and file set-up and supports Image Controls from Kofax and VisionTools Image Processing for image cleaning. AutoScan 32 supports most document scanners such as VisionShape, Fujitsu, Bell & Howell, Canon, Kodak, Panasonic and 400 others including check scanners such as the VisionShape CS-500 and the BUIC 1500.

The basic software can be extended to add document indexing functions with Barcode Recognition, OCR and OMR, AutoScan  PDF writer provides for unlimited searchable PDF creation and Scanning2Web allows creation and update of HTML and all advanced version have automatic FTP upload.

AutoScan Capture delivers unsurpassed scalability and batch control for the most demanding document capture environments.. The image processing module automatically registers different documents accurately and quickly. Once the form is registred, the forms processing module can recognize machine-printed characters (OCR), handprinted characters (ICR), mark sense zones (OMR), as well as barcodes and patch codes. In addition, image cleanup can be performed on a zonal basis to improve data recognition.

AutoScan 32 Professional software:

The professional scanning software is designed for service bureau or large volume scanning applications where control of the document workflow needs to be automated. Automatic rotation of documents in landscape mode increases dramatically scanning speed.

AutoScan 32 features automatic detection of batch cards for batch control. AutoScan stores information about batches in indexing files called "batch files", the names of the images and the results of any other operations (such as barcode recognition).

Duplex Scanner Simulation with Simplex Scanners:

AutoScan 32 supports duplex scanners or features an interlaced mode for two-sided document scanning using single side scanners. AutoScan will scan first the front side of the page, then the second side and insert the back-side after each front side.

AutoScan 32/Capture offers two series of tools for image processing. AutoScan allows user to select image processing functions to clean-up, and register the images using ImageTools advanced image processing functions from VisionShape. Functions can be selected from a selection menu and include de-skew, de-speckle, image registration, black border removal and character enhancement. AutoScan supports both VisionTools software image processing and Kofax Image Processing board.
